Aptar presents InvisiShield, an active antipathogen packaging

Aptar Food + Beverage, a division of the US group Aptar, has introduced InvisiShield, an active packaging solution that protects fresh cut fruits, vegetables, or seafood from pathogens.
The new Aptar solution is incorporated during packaging and is activated within the packaging after 24-48 hours, acting against common pathogens such as E. coli, Salmonella, Listeria or others, and being effective for 99.9% of cases.
The solution can be applied without changing the current production processes.
Royal Fresh Cuts is already piloting and expects to launch it commercially in the second quarter of 2020. |
