Teknor Apex launches New Terraloy® (PLA) bioplastic compounds for 3D printing.

Teknor Apex has launched an improved polylactic acid (PLA) for 3D printing applications. The new 3D-40040 Terraloy® increases its resistance to impact and temperature compared with standard PLA. Its higher thermal resistance allows oven drying prior to application, in order to prevent defects caused by the hygroscopicity of the PLA and the residual humidity during application/3D printing. Formulated specifically for 3D printing, the new product is able to increase up to two times the heat distortion temperature (HDT) and more than four times the impact strength of standard PLA resins. |
