Together under the same facilities, the Exhibitions on Packaging and Food Technology start today. Both sectors in the same event are trying to attract visitants, keeping in mind that more or less 60% of packaging companies are suppliers of food industry. These Exhibitions will be opened untl 15th May and they will turn into one of the most important sector event in Europe in 2009.
Food industry is one of the main users for packaging industry and so one of the main drivers because it demands innovations: biodegradable materials, intelligent materials carrying information about food shelf-life, packages contributing to food safety and packaging design capturing consumer appeal.
More data. It is important to underline than in the crisis context living now, food industry has held a high stability in 2009, increasing its turnover 2.4%, according BTA President, Josep Arcas. Spain is contributing with 10% production of foods and drinks in Europe. |
