Scientist achieve diesel from polyethylene waste

Chinese scientists have developed a methodology from which diesel is achieved from polyethylene (PE) waste (plastic bags, bottles…). The procedure is based on the employment of catalysts together with a low temperature pyrolysis protocol. Such discovery means an important breakthrough, and even more taking into account that PE is one of the plastic materials that more contamination generates annually along the world. |
