Researchers at Japan's Shinshu University create new stable and easily recyclable plastics by dissolution

Participation of polymethylmethacrylate microparticles, obtained by aqueous polymerization of methylacrylate monomers. By drying the solvent, low thickness films can be generated by physical bonding between microparticles.

These films, which exhibit high mechanical stability and fracture energy, can be dissolved in ethanol. It is also possible to improve the fracture energy of the films by incorporating nanosilica as a filler. It allows pigments.
