Raspeberries packaged in a biodegradable and compostable film supplied by NOVAMONT.

The research evaluated the behaviour of red raspberry variety cv. Himbo Top after packaged the fruits in PET trays and wrapping in a non-commercial biodegradable compostable film (NOVAMONT) under passive and active MAP conditions, simulating storage (48 h at 1°C) and retailer (48 h at 18°C) conditions.
After 48 hours of storage, the biodegradable film preserved better the color of raspberries, furthermore with retailer (48 h at 18°C) conditions only the biodegradable film allowed to preserve the fruit for up to 96 h regardless of the MAP. |
