Repsol uses enzymatic technology to develop biodegradable plastics of fossil origin.
09/10/2018

Repsol has signed a new agreement with PEP Licensing Limited that extends the one already established in 2015 which applied only to polyethylene materials intended for the fabrication of plastics for agriculture. This agreement allows Repsol to use the enzymatic technology of PEP Licensing Limited for the development of a wide range of biodegradable polyolefins of fossil origin. It should be noted that, in addition, these new materials maintain the quality of the different recycling streams, which does not affect the current recycling procesesses.
