The KTH Royal Institute of Technology develops a high temperature resistant biobased foam

High performance foamed material, obtained from whey proteins.

Protein nanofibers, which are crosslinked by hydrolyzing proteins at a certain pH and temperature. After one month of exposure to 150 ºC, the material it even becomes more resistant and strong. Water soluble proteins, water resistant material, surfactants or reducers.
