Researchers develop biobased absorbing pads with advanced properties 04/03/2020
Researchers from IATA-CSIC and Teagasc Food Research Center (Ireland) have managed to synthesize biobased absorbent pads, improving their properties with PLA, and which could be used in trays to absorb fluids that release fresh food and extend their shelf life.
The method of obtaining and the origin of the raw material allow the pads to be cheap to produce and could be useful systems in food packaging applications |
