Tetra Pak introduces low-energy processing line for juices, nectars, and non-carbonated drinks

Tetra Pak launches a new and first energy-efficient processing line for juices, nectars and still drinks, to take beverage processing to a new level of efficiency.

Innovatively using a unique combination of Pasteurization, Filtration and UV Light technology to treat beverages in two separate streams, which are aseptically mixed into the final beverage.

Instead of pasteurizing the entire volume of the product, the new production line separates the water and pasteurizes only the concentrate. The water is treated separately with filtration and ultraviolet light that requires much less energy.

The new line reduces energy consumption by up to 67% and the water consumption used for cleaning, sterilization and product change is reduced by up to 50%.
